Christmas Combo Set - Mirana Cake House Review

Christmas is nearing! This month, Mirana Cake House has released 4 different Christmas Combo Menus and sent us their Christmas Combo 1 to review!

The Christmas Combo 1 includes:

1. Rosemary Turkey
2. Sliced Chicken Ham
3. X'mas Log Cake
4. Salad
5. Mini assorted pastries platter

1. Rosemary Turkey

This Rosemary turkey was really heavy, weighing approximately 5kg. The turkey had a nice brown roasted colour to it, with the rosemary exuding a fragrant aroma! We started out by carving out the turkey legs, followed by the turkey breast. The turkey legs were HUGE and tender at the same time! Take a bite of the meat along with the skin to experience the full flavour of the turkey, as the skin had absorbed all its seasongs. The brown sauce that comes along with it was light and tasted slightly buttery. The sauce really enhanced the natural taste of the turkey, and I recommend pouring the sauce on to the meat.

2. Sliced Chicken Ham

This platter was a real meat fiesta. The serving was huge! You will get 1kg worth of chicken ham in this combo. Even though everyone had a fair portion of the chicken ham, there was still quite a bit of leftover! It was beautifully decorated using the natural colours from fruits such as mangoes, strawberries, grapes and oranges. The chicken ham itself was a little salty and when served slightly chilled, it was very refreshing. Dip it in the pineapple sauce for extra sweetness!

3. X'mas Log Cake

What is Christmas without the traditional festive log cake? This beautiful log cake not only looked good but tasted good as well! You can choose from 2 flavours, either chocolate or hazelnut, and we received the chocolate version! Beneath the chocolate cream coating was a delightful airy chocolate sponge, layered with vanilla cream. The cake wasn’t dense at all and wasn't dry too.

4. Salad

Raw onions, cabbage, carrots and more leafy greens, found in your typical garden salads! All the vegetables were fresh and crunchy, definitely very refreshing.

5. Mini Assorted Pastries Platter

The dessert platter was polished off quickly after we had the mains. The fruits on the pastries were fresh and so sweet! The chocolate éclairs were everyone’s favourite! It was filled with cream and bursts in your mouth when you bite into it.
