Covid-19: Wearing of masks now compulsory when visiting various essential places
New laws and regulations are being passed following the evolving Covid-19 situation in Singapore. Are you aware of the latest regulation passed? You are now required to wear a mask when visiting supermarkets, convenience stores, pharmacies, shopping malls, markets and on the public transport. Regulations have also been revised to a fine of $300 for first time offenders (was a stern written warning previously) following the increase of flouting of the safe distancing measures put in place.
It has also been encouraged that seniors should avoid visiting such places that could be especially crowded especially on peak days/hours. Others could help do the grocery shopping or buying of essentials instead.
These new and stricter measures put in place might seem troublesome to some but it is necessary given the situation now so let's all do our part so we can overcome the Covid-19 sooner than anticipated. The health of all really do depends on each and every one of us. #SGunited.
