Mixed Fried Platter (3 Kind of Fried items)

Fried Siew Mai
The Fried Siew Mai was crispy on the outside, moist and juicy on the inside and had a generous amount of fillings stuffed. Most of us agreed that this Siew Mai had just the right balance of sweet and salty and served as a perfect appetizer dish.
Scallop
The scallops were fried to perfection, with a slight crispy crunch on the outside and a tender moist flesh on the inside. We could tell just how fresh these scallops were due to the natural sweetness it had.
Ngoh Hiang
The Ngoh Hiang was another very fragrant appetizer that we got to try. It had a thin layer of crisp on the outside and a burst of spices and flavors from the mince meat on the inside. A slight downside to this dish would be that it was a little too salty for most of us. Nonetheless it was still a very tasty dish!
Fried Wanton
This was one of our favorite from the platter as it was generously filled with fresh large prawns! The wanton skin was also well fried with a crispy outer layer that was not oily at all! There was also a balance in seasoning which made this dish a popular one among all of us!
Crispy Chinese Money Bag Fritters
Another unique appetizer would be this Crispy Chinese Money Bag Fritters. Encased within this thin layer of fritters are mushrooms, carrots, spring onions and minced pork. Even though we felt that this dish could be slightly less salty, it is still a dish worth trying as it was packed full with flavors!

Herbal Chicken

The moment we opened the lid, the aromatic fragrance from the soup filled the room and we could not wait to dig in! The sauce was rich and very well seasoned with herbs such as wolf-berries and red dates which gave the sauce it’s natural sweetness. The chicken was soft and tender and the meat was able to soak up the essence from the sauce making every piece of meat very flavourful!

Fried Sea bass with Sweet & Sour Sauce

Another dish that we got to try was this Fried Sea bass with Sweet & Sour sauce. The sea bass was very fresh and the flesh was soft and tender on the inside, with a slight crunch on the outside. The sweet and sour sauce was bursting with flavors from the pineapple, green peppers and tomato pieces that was thinly sliced. The caterer was also thoughtful to separate the fish from the sauce to ensure that the fish does not become soggy! Do give this dish a try!

Cereal Prawn

We were also very excited to give this dish a try! The prawns given were large, succulent and fresh which also had a natural sweetness to it! The buttery and creamy cereal crumbs were perfumed with crispy slivers of aromatic curry leaves that helped enhance the overall flavor of the dish. However, one recommendation could be to have the prawns de-shelled, or for the outer layer to be slit for added convenience when consuming.

Yang Chow Fried Rice

We also got to try Delizio’s Yang Chow Fried Rice. It consisted of ingredients such as egg, crab meat, carrots, corn and green pea, which all helped to add texture and flavors to the rice. However, we felt that the rice was slightly bland and could use more seasoning. Nonetheless, it was still a dish well done as the rice was well-cooked and not clumpy or soggy even after the delivery process.

Mixed Vegetable with Mushrooms
Next up, we gave the Mixed Vegetables with Mushroom a try. This dish tasted as fresh as it looked! It consisted of various vegetables such as broccoli, cauliflower, carrot, cherry tomato, black fungus and baby corn. To tie the dish together, the caterer stir-fried the vegetables with a thick gravy that was simply delicious and coated each piece of ingredient well. This dish is a must try!

Cheng Tng

There’s no better way to wrap a feast, than to indulge in some delicious traditional desserts. The cheng tng was filled with numerous types of ingredients such as longans, red dates and white fungus, which not only helped to enhance the intensity of flavors, but they also added natural sweetness to the dessert. This dish is definitely worth the try!
