East West Fusion Catering Review- Time to indulge in some scrumptious dishes this Chinese New Year!
With Chinese New Year right around the corner, we want to help you avoid the hassle of prepping and cooking for a large crowd, and focus on spending quality time with your loved ones and other things that matter most. This year, East West Fusion has specially put together several menus to cater to the festive occasion!

Recently, we had the opportunity to try East West Fusion Pte Ltd scrumptious dishes from their Mini Buffet Set B that is $188/set which included their Fa Cai Yu Sheng! The dishes from this menu consisted of the following dishes:
- Fa Cai Yu Sheng (Smoked Salmon Or King Top Shell)
- Vegetarian Bak Hwa Fried Rice
- Salted Egg Chicken
- Thai Style Fish Fillet
- Cereal Crispy Prawn
- Hong Kong Kai Lan With Mix Mushroom
- Seafood Ngoh Hiang Ball With Thai Dip
- Mango Pudding
- Packed Drink
Fa Cai Yu Sheng

First up, we have their Fa Cai Yu Sheng. We had the chance to try the Smoked Salmon option and were very pleased with this option! Each slice of smoked salmon was simply refreshing and complimented very well with the freshly grated vegetables! This dish also packed a punch full of flavours with their generous amount of condiments and sauces that were separately packed for you to drizzle over whilst saying a few prosperous wishes of your liking!

Vegetarian Bak Hwa Fried Rice

East West Fusion’s Vegetarian Bak Hwa Fried Rice was simply delicious! Many feared that the rice would be of a soggy texture from having the lid on during the delivery process, but we were all proven wrong! The texture of the rice and toppings were all just right. With just the right balanced amount of saltiness from the bak hwa and sweetness from the corn and peas, it was definitely a dish that many came back for second servings!

Salted Egg Chicken

Next we have the Salted Egg Chicken. We felt that this dish needed some improvement as the batter coated over the chicken was slightly too thick and lacked the intense salted egg flavours. Nonetheless, each piece of chicken was cooked to perfection which led to it being tender and juicy.

Thai Style Fish Fillet

One of the winning dishes has got to be the Thai Style Fish Fillet. Not only was the fish cooked perfectly, but the batter and sauce coated over had just the right balance of flavours! The fish was also very fresh and had no “fishy” taste that would linger in your mouth after. Their special Thai Sauce coated over each fillet further enhanced the flavours and made it a very addictive dish!

Cereal Crispy Prawn

Another rather appetizing dish would be their Cereal Crispy Prawn. We were all surprised at how crunchy the cereals were, despite the long journey during delivery. The taste of the cereals had just the right amount of sweetness, saltiness and creaminess to it that many used as a topping to complement all the other dishes with. On a downside, we felt that the prawns were slightly overcooked which led to it being a bit tough and dry. Nonetheless it was still a dish to be commended as the seasoning was well balanced!

Hong Kong Kai Lan With Mix Mushroom

We also had the Hong Kong Kai Lan With Mix Mushroom. Not only was the Kai Lan of very fresh quality, we felt that it was also a great idea to pair the Kai Lan with mix mushrooms as the various mushrooms gave the added crunch texture to the dish. This dish definitely deserves a thumbs up!

Seafood Ngoh Hiang Ball With Thai Dip

Another one amongst the favoured dishes would be the Seafood Ngoh Hiang Ball With Thai Dip. This local delicacy was done very well by East West Fusion! With just the right amount of seafood paste, spices and finely grated vegetables, it was quickly devoured by our team! What’s better? The caterer provided us with their special Thai Dip that enhanced the flavours of the Ngoh Hiang even more!

Mango Pudding

Can you think of a better way to end the feast than to indulge in some light and refreshing desserts? East West Fusion’s Mango Puddings were yuuum-my! The texture of the pudding was just right, and so were the flavours!

All in all, we really enjoyed this delicious spread of dishes and would recommend you to try them out with your loved ones this festive season!
