Fong Fu Food Industries has been catering for home deliveries (Tingkat Service), Buffets, and BBQ for all occasions back since 2001. They aim to serve their customers to the best of their abilities, ensuring that their needs are met.
They recently sent over their Tingkat Menu and I am excited to share with you my delightful food experience with Fong Fu Industries! I tried 2 of their Tingkat sets: one consisting of 4 dishes and the other with 3 dishes and 1 soup.
Set 1 (2 Pax)
This set consists of 4 dishes - Creamy Buttermilk Chicken, Fu Yong Egg, Stir Fry Spinach, and Black Pepper Fish Ball.

Creamy Buttermilk Chicken

I must say, this Creamy Buttermilk Chicken really lived up to its name. At first bite, I was able to taste the creamy buttermilk layer that the chicken was fully coated with. As this dish is fried, the exterior also had a crispy texture. The meat inside tastes slightly dry at first, but as you consume it with coating, the delicious flavours were able to complement it.
Fu Yong Egg
The Fu Yong Egg has a fragrant smell and strong taste that lingers in your mouth after a while. The egg was cooked well enough which made it soft and easy to bite and that makes an egg dish delicious right?
Stir Fry Spinach

I personally love eating spinach and the Stir Fry Spinach tastes exactly how I like my spinach - sweet and chewy! The sweetness came from the sauce and spinach itself had a chewy texture. Adding the carrots was a great idea because it added a crispy texture when eaten with the spinach.
Black Pepper Fish Ball

The fishball has a fried texture outside but a tender and QQ texture inside when you bite into it. The black pepper sauce has this thick texture hence when eaten with the fishball, the black pepper flavour was able to retain in my mouth for quite a while as I chewed. If you are a big fan of black pepper, you’ll love this!
My favorite is the Creamy Buttermilk Chicken!

Set 2 (2 Pax)
This set consists of 3 dishes - Shredded Coconut Fish Fillet, Potato with Mince Meat, Stir Fry Xiao Bai Chye, and 1 soup - Beetroot Soup.

Shredded Coconut Fish Fillet

When I first heard about this dish, I was slightly surprised because of the shredded coconut. This means that it will taste both sweet and savoury, which is an unusual combination to me. However, after trying it, the sweetness of the coconut blended well with the savoury and tender fish fillet.
Potato with Mince Meat

The Potato with Mince Meat has a combination of soft potato with chewy minced meat. The whole dish was filled with sauce; therefore, my palate did not feel dry at any point when eating it. This is a homemade dish that is commonly cooked at home and Fong Fu Industries definitely gave me a homely feeling. A tip for you when eating this dish - have it together with rice, and trust me, it tastes even better!
Stir Fry Xiao Bai Chye

I’m personally not a fan of Xiao Bai Chye since it tastes bitter to me, but this particular dish is not, and not to mention, the sauce made it nicer for me to eat it! I will describe the Stir Fry Xiao Bai Chye to have more of a mild flavour and the sauce that was stir-fried with the vegetables gave it a sweet aftertaste.
Beetroot Soup

If you don’t already know, beetroot soup is actually very healthy and nutritious. We might tend to associate healthy food to taste blend, but this soup does not taste like that at all. The soup overall has a sweet taste to it. The beetroot has a soft texture with a mild flavour and the chicken is tough and chewy. Having this soup at the end of the meal made me feel healthier.
My favourite has got to be the Potato with Mince Meat!
Rating: 4/5
In conclusion, both sets had dishes with different tastes and flavours but when they are eaten together, it gives a sense of satisfaction and enjoyment in the meal which is very important when it comes to food! You must try Fong Fu Food Industries out to find out what I’m talking about. Order from them this instance!
