As I am writing this review, I can recall the variety of dishes I was greeted with, but all these dishes share one common trait … they are what I call my nostalgia food. Reminded me so much of my primary school days where I would run home after school so that I can indulge in the dishes prepared by my mother.
Good Chance Catering’s Tingkat really brought out the home-y feeling to another level!
At first, I was quite sceptical from the looks of the baked chicken chop since it looked quite ordinary. But upon the first bite, I was instantly in love with it. The chicken is very tender, and the sweet sauce goes so well along with it! This whole meal is made up of our homecooked dishes , it’s simply a comforting and delicious meal!

Just a fun fact, I really love soup especially Winter Melon Pork Rib Double Boiled Soup, so when I saw the soup, I knew I was gonna love it.  And I did. The richness in the soup is just wow and the winter melon, carrot and pork rib just enhanced the flavours. The Sweet and Sour Pork, Potatoes Simmer with Slice Pork, Xiao Bai Cai With Garlic went so well together, every mouth of this dish felt so home-y…

This is a meal that consists of vegetable, chicken, egg and a bowl of soup. This portion is way more than enough for 2 pax, it is such a heart-warming meal! The Fish Ball Soup is a little special as there are tomatoes in it, and it brings out a little sour taste which is so soothing to the throat! Personally, I dislike Bean Curd, but this Egg Sauce with Bean Curd is an exception. It’s so smooth and tasty…Yummy!

The Deep-Fried Prawn Fritter is not oily at all and in fact, it is very crunchy and the prawn is so fresh!  The Sliced Pork with Spring Onion Ginger and is smooth and tender  that you can’t resist a second bite. The pork is definitely the highlight of this set of dishes, together with the Fried Onion Omelette and Spinach With Garlic!

Special shoutout to the Homemade Prawn Roll that contains prawn, minced meat and water chestnut. There is homemade sweet sauce that compliments the saltiness of the fried prawn roll. Oh! not forgetting the Bean Sauce Steam Fish, the freshness of the fish is accompanied with a mild spicy sauce. If you are afraid that it might taste a little too salty, eat it with the rice! The sambal French Bean isn’t too spicy not too bland and the Cabbage With Egg is superb!
