Healthy 3-Ingredient Bagel

If you haven’t heard about this bagel recipe which only requires 3 ingredients, you’re missing out. With this incredible recipe, you do not need to deliberately go to a bakery or purchase frozen bagels from your nearby supermarket. Moreover, it is a healthy bagel because the ingredients used are low in calories, and it’s delicious. Who doesn't love a guilt-free yet delicious bagel? Read on to learn how to make the bagels!

Ingredients:

  • 2 Cups Self-Rising Flour
  • 2 Cups Greek Yogurt
  • 1 Large Egg

 

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, mix self-rising flour and Greek yogurt together
  • Once mixed well, place dough on a floured surface and knead together until smooth for about 5 minutes
  • Make sure you have enough flour on your hands and board so the dough will not stick
  • Fold dough into a circular shape and cut dough into 8 even pieces
  • Roll each piece of dough into a rod, then join the ends to form rounds and use fingers to form a hole in the middle
  • Place bagels onto a parchment paper
  • Beat egg to form egg wash
  • Paint a light layer of egg wash on each bagel to get that golden brown on top
  • Place toppings of choice such as sesame seeds, pumpkin seeds, salt, etc. (optional) 
  • Bake bagels at 190°C for 20-22 minutes
  • To get a golden brown on top, you can bake the bagels for additional 3-4 minutes at 230°C
