How to Cool Yourself Down at Home w/o Air-Conditioning
I KNOW! The weather is unbearable these days! And in my efforts of trying to cut down the usage of electricity since I will be using so much more from working from home, it makes me wonder how I can make myself less sweaty, sticky and annoyed without turning on the air-conditioner! Here are some hacks from my intense researching, sharing is caring right? đ No worries, it is mostly free, other than water.

HACK #1 Closed your blinds/curtains
Do you know roughly 30% of unwanted heat comes from your windows? Reduce this number by utilizing shades or curtains! Draw them up when the sun is up!

HACK #2 Hijack your fan
Fill a mixing bowl with ice, or ice pack (so you can reuse). Then position it at an angle in front of your fan so that youâll get cooler air! Try it, itâs a magical moment!

HACK #3 Focus on yourself rather than your surrounding
Store bottles of water in the fridge the day before and sip it the next day to cool your body down! Wear thinner clothes! You may even apply a cold cloth to strong-pulsed areas like your neck and wrists!

HACK #4 Shower in the cold
I know what you are thinking. I am not crazy! This works for me every time! It feels so refreshing and you will even save some electricity as your heater will not be turned on!

HACK #5 Use the right shower foamÂ
Try peppermint soap or soap with cooling effect! Itâs going to leave you feeling cool and refresh for a longer period of time after your shower! Bonus tipâŠ. try the âsnake powderâ too!
These are all tried and tested by me and mostly helped cool me down a little. Though, I must say that nothing can beat the air conditioner (but then you will have more bills to pay). Â So Iâd say, give the above hacks a try! đ
Leaving your house to buy food in this heat is insane isnât it? Why not order in!
