Makan Mate - Tingkat Review

Makan Mate is perfect for families who love variety without the extra expenses. With daily menu planned beforehand, there is something different to enjoy every lunch/dinner. Deliveries take place from Monday to Sunday, you can save the hassle of cooking or buying food during the weekends. I will be sharing about my personal insight with Makan Mate.

Lunch Menu

To start if off, special shoutout to the Golden Chicken Gyoza With Ginger & Vinegar Dip, the size of it isn’t too big and it is filled with moist and juicy chicken on the inside. For the Chicken Rendang, it is so rich in flavours and spices! Personally, I had to eat it with rice because it’s a little spicy for me but if you love spice, this Chicken Rendang is for you! Moving on, the Potato Wedges With Salted Egg, it was my first encounter to such dish but I must say, the potato wedges goes very well with the salted egg taste. The bonus part is that it is very crispy on the exterior and moist on the inside! The Soup of the day is Winter melon Soup.

The weather these few weeks in Singapore has been quite cooling, the Winter melon soup is a soothing and comforting dish that is indispensable during this cooling weather. Overall, this is a comforting and delicious meal to enjoy with your loved ones!

Dinner Menu

For this Dinner menu, the fishball is accompanied with sambal sauce, giving off a mild spicy yet sweet taste on the surface of the fish ball.  The Sauteed Seasonal Green is many of our usual vegetable dish, healthy yet delicious. The Braised Fish Fillet with Salted Black Bean is a very tasty and satisfying dish, if you love to eat fish, this won’t disappoint you! Lastly, the soup of the day for this dinner set is Corn & Carrot Soup.

I personally feel Corn & Carrot Soup is the ultimate comfort soup for me! It is a nourishing soup that many Chinese children have grown up with and is one of my family’s favourite soup. The overall taste is tasty and soothing to your throat and it is well accompanied with the sweetness of the corn.
