Shi Fu Ge Catering Review - Time to dig in and get your hands dirty in a delicious seafood feast!

Just the other day, we had the opportunity to try out Shi Fu Ge’s specialty Crab in a Bag Imperial Pot (帝国袋) . This generously large bag of goodness definitely deserves a shout out as it left all of us coming back for second servings!

The Crab in a Bag Imperial Pot (帝国袋) is able to serve roughly 5 pax and it contains the following ingredients:

• 2x 600-700g Sri Lanka Crabs
• 300g Prawns
• 300g Clams
• 300g Mussels
• 300g Corns
• 300g Potatoes

Currently, Shi Fu Ge is holding an ongoing promotion of $79.90, instead of their usual price of $88.80! Yes you heard that right, for just $79.90, you and your guests get to feast on a large spread of fresh seafood! To complement the dish, a side order of fried mantou ($0.60) could be placed as well from their Ala-Carte Menu. 

The Sri Lankan crabs were as fresh as you could get! With a perfectly soft and succulent texture, and a right balance of sweetness and spiciness from the sauce, it was definitely worth getting our hands covered in sauce as we dug in. Furthermore, the prawns, clams and mussels were cooked to perfection as well! Some of us were afraid that the ingredients would be slightly overcooked as they were soaked in the sauce throughout the whole delivery period, however, we were all pleasantly surprised at how tender and soft they all were.

The spicy sauce had a slightly thick consistency which coupled very well with the ingredients as it was able to coat each piece entirely. To provide the overall dish with more texture, a generous amount of potatoes and corn were also included in the bag, which was the perfect combination with the seafood! We were also very surprised at how the entire bag of seafood was still piping hot when it was delivered to us, which filled the whole room with a fragrant aroma!

If you are catering to a larger group, you may also want to place additional  side orders for their other dishes, to ensure that the feast is enough to satisfy all your hungry appetites! :)
