The 2 menus that we tasted consist of the following dishes:
Genki Delights
Sake Chahan (Wok Fried Japanese Rice with Salmon)
Tori Choppu (Chicken Chop with Tonkatsu Sauce)
Wasabi and Mayonnaise Prawn
Tempura Japanese Vegetables
Chilled Crystal Grass Jelly with Longan Dessert
So Oishii!
Sautéed Udon with Bell Pepper & Shiitake Mushroom)
Saikyo Miso Marinated Salmon Fillet
Takoyaki Balls (Octopus Balls)
Tempura Japanese Vegetables
Chilled Crystal Grass Jelly with Fruit Cocktail
Sake Chahan (Wok Fried Japanese Rice with Salmon)
Once we took off the lid off this dish, aroma filled the room and we were so excited to dig in! The rice was cooked to perfection and it managed to absorb the essence from the salmon roe. The bonito flakes added both an extra texture and an extra flavour to the fried rice and every mouthful had a perfect balance of both sweet and salty!

Tori Choppu (Chicken Chop with Tonkatsu Sauce)
A unique creation of fusing boneless chicken pieces with the Japanese Tonkatsu Sauce, it was a divine pairing of the two! The tender chicken bites were tossed in the thick, sweet, and savoury tonkatsu sauce and drizzled with mayonnaise above. Topped with flavorful cherry tomatoes to enhance the overall plating, this dish deserves a thumbs up for tasting as good as it look!
Rating: 4/5
Wasabi and Mayonnaise Prawn
The Wasabi and Mayonnaise Prawn was another dish which we were so excited to dig into! The crunchy prawns, paired with the wasabi flavoured mayonnaise was heavenly. The texture of the mayonnaise was slightly tangy and creamy, but nevertheless we could still taste the depth of the spices brought about by the wasabi. This dish was definitely one of our favourites, seeing how it was the first dish to be devoured and left us craving for more!
Rating: 5/5
Tempura Japanese Vegetables
The next dish that we tried was the Tempura Japanese Vegetables. This dish consisted of vegetables such as Brinjal, Lady’s Finger, Mushroom and Carrots well fried in a tempura batter. This dish was accompanied with a slightly salty takoyaki sauce, which complemented the dish really well. This takoyaki sauce was of the perfect consistency and coated each piece of vegetable fully. Definitely a recommended dish!

Chilled Crystal Grass Jelly with Longan Dessert
What’s better than an ice cold dessert in this humid Singapore weather? This Chilled Crystal Grass Jelly with Longan Dessert was definitely one of everyone’s favourite dish! The Longan was fresh and crunchy and added a refreshing touch to the dish. However, one improvement that can be made would perhaps be for the Grass Jelly bits to be slightly thicker. Overall, this dessert is still surely a must have dish for your event!
Rating: 4/5
Sautéed Udon with Bell Pepper & Shiitake Mushroom)
The stir-fried Japanese udon noodles were loaded with assorted vegetables to garnish it with colours and its natural flavours. Although the savoury noodles had a slight sour aftertaste due to its seasoning, we still got to appreciate the chewy texture and mild flavour of the Udon noodles.
Rating: 3/5
Saikyo Miso Marinated Salmon Fillet

This was another of everyone’s favourite dish and it was quickly devoured. There were generous large pieces of fish and the fish was well-marinated and cooked to perfection! The fish was also soft and tangy, and bursting with flavours in every bite! This dish is definitely worth a try!
Rating: 4.5/5
Takoyaki Balls (Octopus Balls)
The octopus-filled dough balls were firm on the outside, and lightly fluffy on the inside. We were also pleased that the Takoyaki sauce was contained in a separate plastic containers that kept the octopus balls from turning soggy.
However, we felt that the recipe could be further improved with more octopus bits filling within each ball. In addition, it would also be good to top it off with more Japanese mayonnaise to balance out the slightly savoury takoyaki sauce.
Rating: 3.5/5
Chilled Crystal Grass Jelly with Fruit Cocktail
This Chilled Grass Jelly is another perfect dessert for Singapore’s weather! The fruit cocktails added a natural sweetness to the dessert which was very refreshing! Similar to the Grass Jelly with Longan, we felt that it would have been better if this dish contained bigger grass jelly pieces instead.
Rating: 3/5
Overall, food was still hot upon delivery and the fresh ingredients used were of quality!
Overall Rating: 4/5
