Sushi Deli Catering Review - Welcome the Lunar New Year with a prosperous spread of Fa Cai Yu Sheng!

With Chinese New Year just a couple of sleeps away, you must be scouting for the perfect dishes to cater to your celebrations for your guests! Why not give it a slight twist this year and celebrate it with a fusion of Japanese and Chinese dishes with Sushi Deli!

Recently, we were delighted to receive a scrumptious spread of fresh salmon Yu Sheng platter from Sushi Deli. We all know that Chinese New Year just wouldn’t seem complete without a “lo hei” with your loved ones, and Sushi Deli has just the solution for you with their variety of Yu Sheng platters!

The dish that was delivered to us was their Large Fa Cai Yu Sheng ($35.80) that serves 8-10 pax. We were very pleased with how beautifully elegant the entire dish looked as a whole. With thick slices of salmon neatly decorated into a delicate beautiful flower, it definitely enticed us all to want to dig in to this dish immediately!

The dish was put together with the following ingredients:

• Pickled Melon Strip
• Pickled Vegetable Strip
• Pickled Cucumber Strip
• Pickled Yellow Melon Strip
• Pickled Leek Strip
• Red Sweeten Ginger Strip
• Grourd Wax Strip
• Peanut
• White sesame
• Pok Chui Biscuits
• Pepper powder
• Cinnamon powder
• Raw Fish Sauce

The caterer was very thoughtful to have separated all the condiments and sauces for us to drizzle over ourselves whilst we all say our prosperous wishes for the year together! Furthermore, Sushi Deli was very generous with the amount of condiments and seasonings they provided as it helped to balance the dish well and packed it with bursting flavours.

The salmon slices were the perfect combination for the platter! Each slice was simply fresh and succulent, and did not leave any unpleasant “fishy” taste lingering in our mouths after. Coupled with a generous amount of freshly grated vegetables, we were all very eager to dig in to this delicious creation. It certainly brought wide smiles to all our faces!

All in all, it was delightful experience feasting on Sushi Deli’s Yu Sheng platters, and we would give it an overall rating of 4/5!

Sushi Deli has attained an excellent 5/5 rating for their menus, and it is not surprising as they take pride in offering their customers with only the freshest ingredients! Besides their Yu Sheng platters, they also have a  wide variety of sushi platters that all of you sushi lovers out there can choose from that would be perfect for any parties or events!
