Temptations Cakes Review - Delicious sweet treats for any occasion!

Temptation Cakes, a bakery that truly lives up to its name!

Recently, we were invited down for a food tasting experience and we were not disappointed with their baked goods. Each and every item were crafted expertly and tasted really good! The first cake we tried from their Bakery was their Signature Chocolate Etoile.

If you're a true blue chocolate lover, you must definitely try their signature Chocolate Etoile that has transcended generations since 1985! With a classic heritage, their remarkable best seller is truly a favourite amongst many. This premium chocolate cake contains a velvety bittersweet Belgium chocolate mousse amongst layers of moist and light chocolate sponge cake, handmade with the finest ingredients of chocolate emulco and cocoa powder. 70% Belgium chocolate couverture is then mixed with whipped cream, which creates a smooth, velvety and ice-cream texture. Finally, it is coated beautifully with chocolate ganache, croquant nuts and gold chocolate flakes.

We were also given a huge box of all their mini goodies - Cake slices, Cupcakes and tarts!

The first treat we tried was the Carrot Cake. We love the mini carrot decoration at the top! So cute! The carrot cake slice was moist and utterly delicious, with generous servings of walnuts in between the cake crumbs. This is definitely one of the better carrot cakes we have tried. If only there was more cream cheese! The cream cheese frosting was really addictive as well.

This next treat is our FAVOURITE snack from the treat box! Not only is it cute, the cupcake was really delicious! The whipped cream at the top paired really well with the cake below. The cake was really chewy and fudgy and reminded us of a brownie!

The third item we tried was the Rainbow Cake. This cake was a little disappointing as the sponge cake was overwhelmed by the chocolate ganache. We can't deny that it looks super Instagram-worthy though! This cake is sure to be a hit with adults and kids alike.

This next cake is our second favourite! This salted caramel cake is not too sweet, yet it manages to capture the rich creamy caramel flavour! We also liked the top layer of the cake that was slightly chewy.

The next item was Apple Crumble. This item was made with a sugar cookie tart and topped with baked crumble. We felt that it would have tasted better if heated up! The Apple Crumble filling is a little on the sweet side and might be too much for some after a few bites.

The last cake item was this Lemon Cake! It was quite tangy and had a mousse like texture. Again, this cake is better suited for those with a sweeter tooth but nonetheless, it was yummy too! We really like the chocolate coating that gave it an extra CRUNCH!

We were also given two packets of homemade cookies to try and they were REALLY GOOD! We felt that these cookies had the potential to give Famous Amos a run for their money.

The first cookies were chocolate chip cookies. It had the perfect sweetness and was incredibly crispy as well! For those who like more chewy cookies, this might not be the treat for you.

The other cookie was a more traditional butter cookie that was really crumbly and a delight to much on. It had a candied cranberry centre as well which added more texture and flavour to the otherwise plain cookie.
