We ordered from Grain for corporate event few years ago and the food was nice. This is first time we ordered for social event (mini buffet) on 2 May 2026. Didn’t expect to have disappointment.

The delivery service is standard, nothing to complain.

Feedback on food items:

1) Laksa Pasta: The noodles is too soggy.
2) Harissa Chicken african-style: The meat is not tender and a bit dry.
3) Sweet & Sour Fish: Biggest disappointment. Too dry and hard.
4) Butterfly Blue Pea Rice: This is the additional order paid separately. The portion is smaller than we thought for 20pax.

Do not recommend the mini buffet. Ham and cheese sandwich was dry, chicken gyozas were already soggy and all stuck together. Croissants and salad were ok. Overall, not worth it for the price.

Portions were generous. There were misses --the signature potatoes salad was too hard and the food were in general too salty. We liked only the basil rice and the fish. The CNY catering was good and hence we reordered. However, this time it fell short of our expectation.
Good thing was they had taken my feedback seriously and so I might give them another chance in future as their choices were quite creative and different from other caterers.

Delivery is on time. The food portion is more than 15 pax. Broccoli and chicken are hard and not suitable for children and elderly.

The caterer made a mistake and forgot my drink order. They managed to deliver it but by the time it came, the party was almost over. Fortunately they were willing to compensate for the mistake so overall service was alright. The food was a hit and miss - pastries and sandwiches were dry and plain tasting, hot foods (satay and rice) portion was very small. Unlikely I would cater from them again.

The food is nice. However the buffet has to be torn down 2.5 hours after setup. Way short of the 4 hours as per SFA guidelines.

The good:

1. portions are really very generous
2. satay is not burnt
3. Osmanthus Konnyaku Koi really comes with Osmanthus flowers

The bad:

1. food came 1 hour earlier so by the time the guests arrive, food is already cold
2. fried rice is really plain, does not taste like fried
3. Yusheng has no crackers provided
4. Asked for the seabass to be deep fried but no acknowledgement that it cannot be done
5. Herbal chicken is very oily

Burnt Butter Seabass did not meet expectations. We ordered mini buffet for 10 pax based on photo provided. No information beforehand that cooking method for the dish was changed from fried to oven baked. Unsatisfied with this experience due to mishap in the menu and delayed response in clarifying this matter with no service recovery received. Please ensure that all the menus across are updated for true depiction of food.

Food portion look good but never provided Spoon and Fork set for eating.
