Extremely Disappointing Experience with Island Catering Services Pte Ltd

I had an absolutely terrible experience with Island Catering Services Pte Ltd, and I feel compelled to warn others about their appalling service and food quality.

First and foremost, the delivery was delayed by more than 1.5 hours due to the driver's inability to locate the carpark entrance and a power supply issue in their kitchen. This is completely unacceptable for a catering service that should prioritize punctuality and professionalism, especially for events.

The delay resulted in food that was not hot upon arrival, raising serious concerns about food safety and quality. The seafood mee sua was an absolute disaster—completely soggy, with a horrible taste that rendered it inedible. Almost the entire tray had to be discarded because it was so terrible. For a dish that should be a highlight, this was a huge disappointment.

To make matters worse, I’m not even sure if any of the food was cooked more than four hours before delivery, which is a serious food safety red flag. The lack of transparency and care for food handling is alarming and unacceptable.

Overall, Island Catering Services Pte Ltd failed on every front—service, punctuality, and food quality. I would strongly advise anyone considering them to look elsewhere for reliable and professional catering services. This experience was a complete letdown and a waste of money.

It was truly delightful! The spread was extensive, offering a wide variety of dishes that catered to all tastes. The chicken chettinad was a standout, with its rich and spicy that perfectly complemented the tender chicken pieces.

Food arrived on time, and food was nicely packed.
The portion sizes were ample, but unfortunately, we couldn't finish the dishes due to their disappointing taste. The Mango Pomelo Sago, in particular, was a letdown — it was too sweet, overloaded with a weird, condensed milk flavor, and the sago was overcooked, resembling a mushy, soft version of rice rather than the delicate texture it should have had. hope the vendor will look into it.
Additionally, this was the first time I ordered Yusheng and was surprised to receive it without chopsticks. However, I must commend the helpful driver, who went out of his way to find some from his delivery van and bring them to me. A big thanks to him for his effort!

All the dishes were very well prepared and packed. Everyone enjoyed the entire meal from the rice and pasta to the vanilla eclairs. Service and delivery were prompt and reliable. Hope to patronize again. Thank you.

Delivery is on time and deliveryman is polite. Food delivered is well kept and packaged.

I recently ordered the Asian Signature Mini Buffet for 10 from Island Catering Services Pte Ltd. The food arrived on time, which I appreciated. However, the delivery experience was less than ideal. The delivery person dripped sauce from the gate and main door all the way to the dining area, likely due to improperly closed lids. Our dessert was only 3/4 full, and the plastic bag was dripping, so we had to spend some time cleaning up before our celebration.

As for the food, it was a mixed experience. The cereal prawn and fried wanton were delicious. Unfortunately, the broccoli was brown and tasted off, and the mushrooms were a bit sour. The salted egg chicken did not taste like salted egg but rather like curry chicken. On the bright side, the portions were very generous.

Overall, the food was okay. I would consider ordering from Island Catering again but would likely skip the salted egg chicken and broccoli next time.

Food portion & taste are good. Food is generally not too salty. Vanilla Ecliar is on the sweeter side. Spaghetti Aglio Olio is slightly too oily on the bottom of the tray.
Golden Calamari is on the tougher side.
