Makan Mate

Prompt service and good food.

Apart from the Spicy Chicken Baked Rice, we liked the Carbonara Pasta, Cream of Carrot Soup, Caesar Salad and Baked Fish. Some of our guests commented that the food was yummy and even asked for Makan Mate's name cards which unfortunately, were not provided.

The menu was heavy on carbohydrates and it would have been great if the caterer becomes more flexible with the selection of food choices in future - allowing guests to choose from a list of food.

Our main dissatisfaction with this caterer stems from the fact that their food came late and our guests had to wait around for their setup to be ready - instead of arriving at the agreed time of 2.30 pm to setup for our event (due to begin at 3 pm), the delivery person arrived at about 2.50 pm.

The food is great at a affordable price. But the ice lemon tea taste like a cough medicine.

The Braised Beancurd with Enoki Mushrooms & Conpoy could have more Enoki Mushrooms. Not much mushrooms and color are very dark.

Portion small

Food is nice

The halal logo and the timing to finish the hi tea was in B5 size paper , too small. Malay residents could not see them, suggest to have them in A4 size paper. Basically, everyone liked the dishes except the barley drink, too sourish.

Food is good

The decoration was nice and the delivery came early to setup. From the point of ordering, the staff was friendly till delivering of food, it is still friendly : ) generally the food was ok. Portion of food is good.

I think the food was generally good and service was fine. Howeber, we were forced to pour alot of remaining food away as we do not have boxes to pack them into. Boxes should be provided by the caterer.
