Pines Food Delight

The food arrived on time, and the delivery person was friendly, but the taste of the food was really disappointing for all of us! Especially the mee siam and grilled apricot chicken, taste really not nice.

All the dishes were excellent and came with food warmers. Portions were generous too. Several people asked about the food and caterer and said they enjoyed the menu and dishes.

This caterer is on time. The food is average for this caterer as the Putien Fried Beehoon is tasteless. The Jia Xiang Tofu is fresh as the tofu does not taste sour The Korean soy garlic chicken was good

The food looks very healthy with steam chicken with black fungus and plain Nyonya Chap Chye. It is a bit bland as well. Can improve further on the food.

The food is averagely acceptable and it’s quite presentable. The taste is ok except the rice. It should be brown but was given as white.

The food is average for this caterer. But the teriyaki chicken and sambal goreng is tastefully cook. Hope to order again from this caterer.

Food presentation is very poor. Could have added some colours with veg like capsicums, leafy veg and garnishing to make the food look more appetising.

Food taste is ok.

Caterer is responsive.

The staff from Pines were very helpful and even stayed on longer to help with carving the turkey as my church was busy hosting 200+ pax on Christmas Eve which was a super peak period for us. We all enjoyed the food and also appreciated the service and friendliness from them. Food was generally tasty and decent for this price point of ~$15-17/pax and the feedback from the ground was quite positive. Overall a pleasant experience during this Christmas season of 2023.. Food was delivered on time with a full setup. However, the additional cocktail tables were not delivered with the food. Staff did not realise the tables were missing until they were prompted with the invoice. Tables ended up arriving 15-20 minutes after the event start time.

Food was setup and served on time.
Chiang Mai Thai Fried Brown Rice was chunky and not evenly cooked. Guest found a piece of plastic the size of a tablespoon in the rice.
Irish Lamb Stew with Vegetables was extremely tough, will not recommend if you are serving to old folks and kids.
Baked Chicken rubbed with Mediterranean spices was tender and juicy.
Other food items ordered were all healthy and delicious.
Food teardown team did not adhere to the indicated teardown time and came early, but patiently waited when we told them to.
Food portion was good and sufficient for the number of pax stated.
