Pondok Selera By Nurul Hidayah review

Every dishes are very rich in flavour. The set up is ok. Understand what was needed for the function though not specify.

The food is not cook to perfection. The ikan lemak is not fresh and it is smelly. Sayur lodeh no taste. Only ayam masak merah can be eaten.

The caterer was very efficient in setting up the buffet table and was meticulous in the deco presentation. The food was mostly tasty, particularly the teh tarik drink. Highly recommended!

The set up time was supposed to be 3.30pm but because of a hiccup, they called me 3 hours prior to say that the team is already making their way there. In the end, everything was already set up by 1.30pm, 2 hours earlier. I was assured by the team ... More that as long as food was heated up, it won’t go bad. I’m writing this now with no stomachache so it’s all good. However, it was quite an inconvenience when they didn’t have the covers to the buffet trays. Reason given was that usually they set it up and event starts right away. But since it was 2 hours way too early and the set up was at a HDB corridor, we had to find a way to close it (read: birds love to chill at our corridor sometimes). In the end, we settled for aluminium foils to cover. The aluminium foils were ours by the way, cause I guess the team never had this issue of prepping way too early that they didn’t have any foils on them. It also sparked another slight annoyance when the foils were blown away by the wind several times (wasn’t secured properly). I also requested mid-event to extend another hour (on top of the already extended time so I wanted 6 hours total). Maybe it wasn’t possible anymore, I don’t know… cause nobody replied. I wouldn’t have kicked up any fuss if it wasn’t possible but just would have expected a reply. But nonetheless, food was GREAT. Received a lot of compliments from my guests for how good the food tasted. I agree, taste-wise great. It’s also super value for money. The chicken portions were huuuge. I love. Just wished the service/service recovery was a little better. But I will still order again for how nice it tastes and how affordable it is!

Engaged Pondok Selera for my recent Hari Raya gathering and was really impressed! The food was delicious—especially the ayam masak merah, which was a hit with everyone. Overall the food has standard. The taste is good but more variety list shown on Foodline will be better

The dishes are generously apportioned and all my guests are very pleased with their food. Very tasteful and platable for small groups and full buffet setup. It was so presentable for that price. Will definitely patronize again.

I recommend this caterer. The food was really good. Quality. One of the best I have ever catered. I cater at least 3 functions a year and I must say, Pondok exceeds my expectation. Friendly staff, good food. Great service.
