The package included 2 carbos, 5 main dishes, 2 desserts, and 1 beverage, making it reasonably priced for the variety provided. The buffet setup was pleasant and well-presented, with a lovely ... More floral decoration that added an elegant touch to the display. One aspect that could be improved would be the inclusion of food labels as guests had some difficulty identifying the dishes. The 20 rented stools were also in good condition, with sturdy square seats and stable bases, making them safe and comfortable for guests. The buffet was set up efficiently and arrived more than an hour before the scheduled meal time. While we were advised to light the food warmers about 15 mins before serving, the dishes were already only mild lukewarm upon arrival and unfortunately did not become hotter by mealtime. In terms of the food, the Curry Chicken and Yam Paste Dessert were well received by our guests. We catered for 45 pax, and the food portion was sufficient for the 42 adults and several kids. Most of the leftovers were the Wok Fried Rice with Silver Fish, Chocolate Cream Puffs and Yam Paste Dessert. The Golden Egg Beancurd looked and tasted more like braised beancurd. The Lychee Punch had a rose-like flavour and was on the sweeter side, which some of the elderly guests found it overwhelming. The Chocolate Cream Puffs contained a light yellow filling that did not appear to have any chocolate flavour. The Wok Fried Rice with Silver Fish also lacked the expected wok hei aroma and the taste of silver fish. Overall, the food was satisfactory for its price point, and the buffet represented good value. However, improvements in food temperature, the addition of food labels, and refinements to the flavour and accuracy of a few dishes would further enhance the overall dining experience.
