YLS Catering

The food is delicious. All our guests are satisfied with the party. It’s the third time we use this catering company.

First time order from YLS. Food portion was more than enough for 15 paxs.
Will recommend to friends and relatives.

The setup was very punctual and food is warm & ready to eat as per the requested time. Food quality and quantity is great, more than enough for the number of pax ordered.

1. Service: after setting up, the cutlery was not laid out nicely, it was simply left on the table in a disorganised matter as though it was simply thrown on the table. The layout of the food was not well thought out. The cutlery was placed next to the dessert at the end of the buffet line. Guests had to take the cutlery and head to the other side to start taking food. Shouldnt the cutlery be placed next to the noodles instead? Also there was no place to put the cutlery beside the noodles. There was a huge space next to the dessert which didn't make sense.

2. When the person left, he didnt inform me and confirm everything was set up. He also didn't inform me what time he was coming back for the food nor was there any sign indicating the same. How was I supposed to know when to expect my guests to finish the food?

3. There was barely enough cutlery, plates and tissue for 30 pax when I ordered buffet for 32 pax. Only 1 small pack of tissue was provided, I was shocked to see my guests having to take their own tissue to use and people using spoons only to eat their noodles!!! That to me, was absolutely unacceptable.

All in all, the experience was less than satisfactory, I wouldn't use the catering service again for a party. Food is pretty alright, have standard. But lacking in the overall experience.

The food was decent and the portion was just right for the guest.

Wastage was minimal.

It would be better if staff can leave some name cards after set-up.

Set-up was on time but the clean-up could have been earlier.

Food is average but the service is good. We like the Ngo Hiang however the curry is less favour due to the tick coconut milk

The food was good! Price point was very affordable. Setup on time. Loved the meat dishes. Only downside was curry potato was abit too hard.

Delivery came early as requested..set up is ok and food is fine. Portion wise is just right for 30 pax but the kailan portion is exceptionally small and nit sufficient. Would advise caterer to remove kailan as an option if cost price is too high rather than giving such a small portion. Kinda embarrassed when there is so little left and the very beginning of the event.

Beehoon, curry, braised pork, orh nee and gong bao prawns are nice! Fried meat too hard. Kailan abit bitter.

Chicken with cereal was hard, yam paste not much taste and texture not smooth. Curry chicken and sweet n sour fish were nice though.
