I want to vent my frustration so bad! This is the first time I ordered from this caterer and I did so mainly based on all the positive reviews I read on foodline. Obviously, I ... More regretted my decision. I really wonder just what kind of good service do others see that I don't?! Firstly, when the person called back to confirm my order, I remembered clearly I told him my event starts at 2pm, and requested for them to come 15min earlier to set up. Not unreasonable right? Then on the event day itself, just to make sure the time again, I called them up. A guy (I forgot to get his name ugh) who handled the call was super impatient and impolite! I asked him what time would the food arrived, he said 2. I said no way, how can you come at 2 pm to set up when my guests arrive at that time?! He simply brushed me off saying there's no more timings already. I hanged up, feeling extremely annoyed. So fine. Some of my guests arrived at 130pm, that's ok since I did say my event will start at 2pm. I waited till 2pm, no food came. Guests were already here but there's no food, no drinks! We called, they said oh they on the way already. Guess what time HE (not they) arrived?! 220pm! LATE! Not only that, there was only ONE guy setting up everything!!! And he was slowwwww! My husband and bro-in-law had to help. And as if the bad service wasn't enough, the food definitely weren't great like what everyone else has described! Guests complained the dessert (which was CHEF RECOMMENDATION btw) was totally tasteless and asked what exactly it was. ALL the meat (fish, pork & chicken) had no meat in them! I mean all of them were fried till I can only taste and feel the hard flour, when I bite, I don't see the juicy white meat inside, it's all just flour. The buns for the braised pork turned rock hard after an hr or so. Chicken curry was ok but way too oily. Am I really thAt unlucky?...Everyone else tasted great food from this caterer But me?! If I had to really choose, I will say only the smoked duck and veggies are worth eating. And honestly I'm not sure if the portion was huge or was it because the food weren't great that's why nobody was eating, we had lots of leftovers. =/ Bad food I can tolerate, because I can't help it if the cook can't cook well. But BAD SERVICE?...NO WAy I will tolerate. The boss didn't even bother to call to apologise, nothing, because anyway, we have already paid up, and that's all that matters, no? In conclusion, I will NEVER again patronize, nor will I EVER recommend this caterer to others.
