"Good variety but quality of taste not guaranteed"

It was our first time ordering from this caterer. We tried a new one because our other options were already unavailable for delivery on the first day of lunar new year.

Good things about this caterer include timely set up & collection, food ... More variety and portion size. However the quality of the food could have been much better. I had family members come up to tell me some dishes tasted sour/not fresh. Even though we had a desirable-looking spread and enough people to potentially eat it all up, it was hard to finish.

Grains of the lotus rice were hard, duck didn't taste fresh (probably wasn't a good idea to have cooked it with lemon, can't tell if the sourness was intended or the food turned bad), snow pear drink was too sweet, cheng tng dessert would've been better with more ingredients and not just dried longan and disintegrating cloths of white lotus (where's the peach gum? the chinese name of the dish had the words peach gum in it).

But overall, can do. I hope the review was constructive.
