"Disappointing Catering Experience for House Warming Event"

Engaged this buffet catering service for my house warming event last week and ordered food for 55 pax. Unfortunately, the overall experience was very disappointing and fell far below reasonable expectations.

Firstly, the yam paste was ... More unacceptable. It was essentially just coconut water, with no yam paste content at all. This is a basic dish and such a mistake should never have passed quality checks.

Secondly, despite requesting food labels in advance and being assured that they would be provided, none were included. This caused confusion among guests, especially those with dietary preferences or restrictions.

The food temperature was another major issue. Even with warmers provided, the food was not warm, which significantly affected the dining experience.

The curry chicken was poorly prepared. The chicken pieces were excessively large, making it inconvenient to serve and eat and the dish was overly oily, which many guests commented on.

The lychee punch was extremely diluted and tasted more like plain water than a beverage.

Most importantly, the portion size delivered did not match what was ordered. While I paid for 55 pax, the amount of food served felt closer to 40 pax at best, which is unacceptable for a paid catering service.

As this food was served to my guests, many of them expressed dissatisfaction and questioned the quality of the catering. This put me in a very embarrassing position as a host and I was extremely disappointed that such basic and obvious issues were not checked before delivery.

Presenting food in this condition reflects very poorly on the company’s service standards. Overall, this experience did not meet expectations and I would not recommend this catering service based on my experience.
