I feel bad writing this for a Christmas catering. Context wise, since 20 - 25 Dec we have had either hosted or gone to other homes for Christmas catered ~ 10 Pax mini buffet type of meals, family members made comparisons. Sadly, this has been the ... More most disappointing one. Started with delivery arriving late, driver called to ask for condo name only then, but still later requested me to whatsapp him my live location. Later also had to go down to carpark to bring up together. Hmm company should have given him an extra helper if really unmanageable, esp. if we also busy with guests above.

The other 10pax mini buffet usually came in the black stylish crates but this came in your normal Tze char plastic takeaway vibe. Spoon fork and serviettes packed like as though u ordered bento set. Carbs for pasta and rice came way more in proportion to the meat. I had to replate the fish onto a plate to avoid it looking so little inside the plastic container. Grilled broccoli came with many parts ‘burnt’ black, u can see the portion is v little. Ordered cereal prawns and no crisp as soggy due to them closing the container for some time while hot, no cereal bits where kids usually love to sprinkle the excess to eat. Sweet paprika chicken - dry and bland, and kids were the ones who bluntly said out in the party- why no taste , no paprika , so plain. Same for the rice. The pasta was called Truffled Penne Pesto and considering we had guests who said they usually don’t like the truffle taste/smell and so didn’t plan to eat, and in the end the rest told them don’t worry - there is no truffle taste inside at all. It’s just pesto looking like Shrek’s pasta. Sigh. The only saving grace was the mini mushroom quiche for flavour but also a pity it came with at least 2 of them broken at the crust. I honestly felt so embarrassed by the whole presentation and blandness of it - I apologised to my guests considering I chose this for Christmas Day itself and the day before the other caterer my family rated 9.5/10 for similar priced range for Christmas catered food. Had to order Old Chang Kee small bites to supplement. Not that it mattered too much lastly, but just to note water provided were in small bottles of 350ml.

Exceeded my expectations, especially when i had used another caterer the day before for another party and it was not a good experience.

Food was extremely good value - 11 courses for Christmas mini buffet! And included delivery n GST within! I ... More told them to add extra microwavable containers and they remembered- unlike the other caterer. They even provided thrash bags as well as very good quality plastic tongs/ ladle for EVERY dish. Arrived on the dot too. Professional and everyone commended the food. Will not hesistate to select this caterer again!

Extremely disappointed and unlikely to order again.

1) When first ordered thru Foodline- an email will be sent to us to say it will be confirmed only upon caterer contacting us. I have ordered from other caterers before and this was always the ... More case. For theirs, i waited and no one called till i had to call to check on my order. Already bad first impression.

2) No proper checking before sending me confirmation email. Mine was clearly self collection and then they still charged me delivery fee. Second bad impression.

3) I asked for microwavable container as i heard they only give in aluminium foil. She said would provide me one or two just in case i need to reheat food. On that day, no
Microwavable plastic container provided.

4) Imagine u choose self collection and reached there promptly and they tell u sorry one item - Swiss Roll did not arrive yet as it was from elseswhere. They shld have managed and ensured it wld arrive isnt it? Then in the end say will deliver to our house by 6.30pm. My party was 6pm and they only brought the swiss roll just before 7pm. Not professional to me. Worse was swiss roll was too dry and cut thickly.

5) Ordered for 15 pax and the portions of rice and fish all too small. Fish was too salty and exactly 15pc. So much so i had to quickly cook some white rice for buffer.

6) All the food was cold and in terms of colour wise (chix and fish esp was cooked a while ago that the sauce look like it dried up. Colours hence dun look appetizing when we plated the dishes
