Overall the food was tasty. The rice is abit hard though. The lemongrass chicken was flavourful. The 2 dishes that left the deepest impression was the oven baked fish n cod fish toufu.

The food serving in general is quite sufficient for the number of pax ordered.

All in all Quite ok based on the price paid and taste for the dishes are not bad except for the following which can be improved:
1) pork rib King - very tough ... More although tasty. Didn use any meat tenderizer.

2) 'Cai Poh' bean curd - was not bad too, but a pity no gravy in the dish. Was mislead by other client's picture that it was a wet dish, but it turned out dry.

3) Mini chocolate eclair n vanilla cream puff mix - turn out to be mini fried doughnut puff with either vanilla or chocolate filling; so-so.

Overview of Seyu mini Xmas buffet

There was mixed feelings about the food.

In general, the variety offered in this mini buffet (target 10-12 pax) was not too bad. Portion was a bit way too big for the following items:

Pumpkin soup
Shepherd pie (half the tray will be more than ... More sufficient, since there are 2 other main courses in the package)
Snowball in coconut soup

Although the package offers both rice and spaghetti, I personally think that either one will be sufficient since there is also a big tray of shepherd pie. Both rice and spaghetti might be a bit blend on its own, but I suppose it was to complement the flavourful side dishes.

Fish item taste not bad although abit tough. Shepherd pie was good too, but due to the size offered, can be abit intimidating. The salad was appetizing. The dessert (tang yuan with sago, quite interesting, and not too sweet ) taste quite refreshing when chilled. Pumpkin soup was nice too (taste a combination of mushroom soup with some pumpkin puree); the taste might have been "flat" if it was pure pumpkim soup.

Love the texture and filling of the log cake; for the price paid, one gets a Premium truffle ganache log cake; it was tasty and my guests love it.

The chicken wings and the BBQ squid was so-so.
