We did not manage to order for Christmas, so ended up ordering it for New Year’s Eve.

While it is stated that the food is for 6 pax, it can be enough for 8-10 pax. The Seafood Boil contains generous amount of prawn, crayfish and mussels and was ... More our family’s favorite! The Pilaf Rice and Chilli con Carne were also good. All the food are nicely seasoned and delicious!

The log cake is really yummy too! Just a nice balance on sponge cake, cream and chocolate. And that edible Santa decoration is just too cute!

I rarely give bad review due to my tolerance to food standards, but sadly I have to give this honest review with the hope that the catering can improve in the future.

When order was approved, we got notified that we are assigned to Xiang’s catering. We thought that it’s just another sister catering of Jessie’s catering. On our first day of order, we were surprised to find out that Xiang’s catering deliver Halal food. We don’t mind eating halal food, but for chinese food, we would prefer the non-halal option. The food was delivered on-time, however there’s no menu sheet given with the order (perhaps because it was Wednesday), so we have no clue what to expect for the rest of the week. The first day impression was not great for us because the vegetables (cabbage) looked really pale and the 4th dish (siew mai) has smelled a bit.

Attached are images for orders from day 2 - 5. We only received menu sheet on our day 4 (Monday). Overall, we are concerned on a few things:
- 3 out of 5 seasonal vegetables are cabbages
- 2 out of 3 chicken dishes uses boned chicken (seems to be drumstick), and the bones are crushed and remained on the gravy (we accidentally bite on some of them.
- what listed in the menu didn’t match the actual (prawn tempura with mayo was served with thai sauce, some mistranslation left us thinking that we are getting fried shrimp where it is actually tofu with shrimp)

We engaged another caterer for Lunch during our trial and it has much better value with cheaper price (GST included). We just want to share this review with the hope that Jessie’s catering would review and revisit their subcontracted catering to ensure the quality and service in the future. Otherwise, it will be very hard to recommend them to others.

Kim’s Catering is value for money option for Tingkat delivery. While other caterers charged for condominium delivery and plastic containers, their price is nett.

Food quality is decent, sometimes great. We liked the variety and there is always ... More balance of meat, green vegetables and side dishes. All tasted fresh, not oily and no MSG taste. With the exception of soup (which is weakness of all other tingkat too), everything else are satisfying. Portion is rather generous too for 2 pax order.

In summary, would recommend Kim’s Catering to those looking for value for money tingkat order
