Inside, the red bean filling brings just the right amount of earthy sweetness without being overly heavy. Together, the combination is harmonious—comforting, nostalgic, and very Japanese in flavor.

What I love most is how it’s not overly sweet, making it perfect for an afternoon tea pairing with matcha or even a light coffee. The texture contrast between the chewy mochi and the soft cake is also a standout ,,, though this cake is abit expensive
