Get Ready for Hari Raya with Bijan!
February is ending and it's about time to say goodbye to Chinese New Year and Valentine's Day. But that doesn't mean that the festivities will end here. Gear up and get ready for Hari Raya this coming March with Bijan's limited time dishes just for this occasion! Here are some snippets that we got to try from their buffet and mini buffet menu:
Rendang Tok
The Rendang Tok, or in simpler terms - beef rendang, is like a flavour explosion in your mouth! It's this slow-cooked beef dish that's been marinated in a mix of coconut milk and a blend of spices that'll make your taste buds do a happy dance. The meat is so tender, and the coconut goodness just seeps into every bite. It has a slight spicy kick to it but it's just enough to keep you wanting more. It's like a comforting hug from Malaysian cuisine.
Sambal Tumis Udang
If you're into a spicy seafood kick, Sambal Tumis Udang is your go-to. These prawns are sautéed in this incredible sambal sauce that's a perfect balance of spicy, sweet, and tangy. The prawns soak up all that goodness, and each bite is like a rollercoaster of flavours. As it's enclosed in it's shell, the prawns remain beautifully fresh and bouncy! Be ready for a spicy adventure that's totally worth it.
Ayam Masak Merah
Ayam Masak Merah is like a chicken party in your mouth! The chicken is cooked in this vibrant red sauce that's a mix of tomatoes, chilies, and a hint of sweetness. The result? Tender, juicy chicken with a kick of spiciness and a touch of sweetness. I personally loved the drums the most as it held so much flavour!
Lontong
Pair all of the dishes up with some Lontong. Lontong is the Malaysian equivalent of comfort food. It's this delicious mix of compressed rice cakes. These rice cakes soak up the sauce of each dish wonderfully and acts as a great carb that matches every protein. The soft texture adds on to the experience and elevates the meal to a higher level!
If you're looking for a spread that will fill both your hearts and stomach, it's right here. All of these items are available in Bijan's Sajian Tradisi Buffet Raya with a minimum of 30 pax. But if you're looking for something smaller, some of these few items can be found in Bijan's Ramadan set B and Ramadan set C at a minimum of only 10 pax. Happy festivities!
