FoodLine Kitchen: Apple Cinnamon Prata

This is easily one of my personal favourites! This week I took a swing at this apple cinnamon prata. It’s kinda like apple pie but instead of puff pastry, I used roti prata instead. And, it’s amazing. It might sound like such a hassle since you got to create the apple cinnamon sauce from scratch, but its easier than it looks.

Here are the ingredients you need:

3 apples (sliced and cubed)

½ lemon (juice)

1 1/3 cups of sugar

3 ½ cups of water

1/3 cup of cornstarch

¼ tspn of salt

1 tspn of cinnamon

 

Apple Cinnamon Sauce

Step 1: To make the apple cinnamon sauce, slice your apples into cubes and squeeze half a lemon onto the sliced apples and mix.

Step 2: After that, add all the dry ingredients together and give it a good mix. Add the water to the mix and bring it to a boil and keep stirring!

Step 3: Once the mixture starts to thicken and is starchy, add the apples and stir it around for about a minute.

Step 4: Take a glass bottle to store the apple cinnamon sauce and let it cool!

 

Prata

To make the apple cinnamon prata, all you got to do is to put some apple sauce in the centre and then fold the prata into half. All that’s left to do is fry it!
