How To Tackle Frequent Migraines

How To Tackle Frequent Migraines

Migraines, a recurring type of headache. For migraines, the intensity of the pain is different from everyone but we can all agree, it is extremely uncomfortable and disturbing. For some, you might even experience, nausea and weakness. Below are some ways you might want to try out to relive your migraines.

  • Take a rest in a quiet, dark room

When you are having migraines, it is a sign for you to stop whatever you are doing and just lie down for 10 to 15 minutes. Although you might feel you do not want to waste your time because you have too many things on your plate, but a rest is really needed when you are having a headache. Imagine if you keep on forcing yourself to keep doing your work, the quality produced will not be as ideal as you wanted it to be because you are not at your best state to perform.

  • Try a cold pack

Place a cold pack on your forehead for 10 to 15 minutes or take a cold shower which can lessen the pain. Fun fact: If you used lots of physical strength during the day, you might want to take a cold shower instead of a hot shower, because taking a cold shower can help you to cool down and relive any muscle tensions.

  • Get Some Caffeine

If you consume a cup of tea, coffee or something with a little caffeine in it, it could ease your headache. However, do note that you should not be drinking too much because the withdrawal symptoms of overconsumption of caffeine can also cause a different type of headache.

With these 3 ways to better cop with migraines, I really hope it helps! Do remember to take a break when needed and not overwork yourself!

Till then, take care and stay safe!
