Canned foods are actually packed with excess sodium and preservatives to increase their shelf life. As you consume the canned food, you are exposing yourself to many negative health effects. Just sodium itself can lead to blood pressure, heart-related problems may also lead to water retention that may cause swelling!

BPA is the chemical used to make polycarbonate plastics and epoxy resins which brings about negative health risks for many especially infant, children and pregnant women.
