Thai Dishes You Have To Try
With Thai cuisine being one of the most popular cuisines in the world, here are some personal favourite dishes everyone has got to try at least once in your life.
Tom Yum Soup

If we were to break down what Tom Yum means, “tom” means boil and “yum” means to mix. By boiling and mixing flavours of sweet and sour in the soup, as well as adding in shrimp for a richer taste, this will result in a bowl of delicious broth. Eat with rice or noodles, and there you have it - a whole meal for you.
Pad Thai

Being one of Thailand’s most recognised food, Pad Thai is a stir-fried rice noodle dish, made up of thin noodles, beansprouts, onion, and egg. This savoury dish is often cooked with various condiments and its flavours can range from rich (seafood), to sour (tamarind paste), to sweet (palm sugar)! It is then plated with a slice of lime wedge, crushed roasted peanuts, and fresh herbs. If you’re craving for both savoury and sweet at the same time, this is the perfect dish for you.
Mango Sticky Rice

Mango with rice? That’s weird, I know. However, this weird dish is in fact, a popular traditional dessert frequently eaten in Thailand! It is made with glutinous rice, coconut milk, and mango. The sticky rice is combined with creamy coconut milk, and topped with fresh mango, which makes it taste just like pudding! Although the combination of ingredients may seem very strange at first, trust me, when you eat everything together, it’ll blow your mind!

If you haven’t noticed, Thai dishes are normally mixed with different flavours - sweet, sour, salty, creamy, spicy, or bitter! If you can’t taste more than one flavour in a Thai dish, chances are - it’s probably not a Thai dish. Even though we aren’t able to travel this year to have authentic Thai dishes, there’s Time For Thai to your rescue! They have all the dishes mentioned above and you’ll be able to get a taste of Thailand in the heartlands of Singapore, delivered straight to you.
