River Ash Bakery

The baby sharks are plastic toys rather than chocolate / sugar that’s edible. The cake has quite a huge amount of cream used inside and outside. Not quite a fan of cream unfortunately. But the cake itself is indeed quite instagamable. So it’s good for photo but may not be good for tastebuds :)

Order a birthday cake , but in foodline system it state that the delivery charge paid for was for a specific timing, thus I ordered the cake and choose a specific timing for the cake delivery as there is no fridge at the venue to store the cake.

The cake was delivery 2 hrs earlier then the state time of delivery.

Was a bit disappointed by this.

Text and inform River Ash as we have pay for $25 for the delivery charge for specific dat e& time of delivery as state on foodline website. where others cake shop / bakery was to choose a time range inside of specific timing , thus I choose river ash over the others end up it was not delivery on specific timing and River ash reply that they have state somewhere there is a range of 2 hrs for delivery can cannot delivery at my specific time as they will closed and they can control foodline display and how it is on the website.

I think Foodline needs to update the system / website to state the information correctly or will will be confused and make the wrong decision.

I would have choose a different bakery or make other decision if I know they will not delivery at the specific time. I still received SMS from Foodline that my delivery is confirm and will delivery on the specific date & time I state, thus I didnt know that the cake will not be delivery on specific time but a range of 2 hrs before.. lucky the cake was able to last in aircon room for 2 hrs , else I will have a unhappy birthday celebration with a melted cake.

The size of the cake was good and sufficient. The taste was okay but abit too sweet for our liking. The design was actually too simple as almost all the decos are paper on the side and the toy toppers we have to place it on ourselves at the event. The toppers are quite cute but the quality not too good as cannot stand well. Overall okay but they missed out my child's name when I paid for the fondant. They apologised and refunded but just a tad disappointing.

The cake look pretty but taste is not up standard in my opinion.
I was expecting choco seasalt caramel to taste better normal chocolate cake but really was disappointed. Cake also is hard.

Mermaid Tail Chocolate break easily even put inside fridge directly from delivery, i have to used stick to support back. Cake looks small & taste normal. Not value for money,

Generally, the cake taste ok only, I can’t really taste the vanilla in it, it’s a little bit stiff maybe because it has to let the character stand and it’s not so sweet, this cake is really very expensive and I won’t recommend it if it is not requested by my child. I prefer bakery shop cakes and they are tastier and less expensive. The yellow fondant letters are too small too. Please kindly improve the taste for your cakes !

Ordered Cake from River Ash Bakery through foodline website and the transaction process was smooth. The cake was pretty good it is just that the colour was little too much for kids cake.

The cake was well decorated, allowing many lovely pictures to be taken. However, the taste does not do the cake justice. Too dense, too sweet..

The wordings were different from what I indicated when I ordered the cake. And it would have looked better in any color, not sure why white was chosen for the words. Only one candle was given.

Cake looks like the picture online but is smaller than it appeared to be.
