Significant dropped in food quality Reviewed on 24th Dec 2020 Verified Purchase 3rd or 4th repeated order. Portion is still good. But, quality and taste of the food has dropped as compared to the past. There were more misses this time. The dishes in the last month displayed, in my opinion, either laziness in preparation of menu ... More and food, or signs of overwhelming orders. Frequency of processed food such as meat/fish balls, fish cake and chicken sausages has increased to about once to twice a week. Stir fried cucumber came with large thick cuts and seeds not removed at all. Some green vegetables such as Xiao bai cai came uncut and tasted smelly/bitter/pungent (signs of the vege not washed properly?). Seasonings used on fried fish slices were on the salty side. Some soups were cooked with deep fried food and this caused the entire soup to be oily. One example is shown in the photo. Overall, it was a disappointing month as dinner experience was really bad that I wasn't looking forward to dinner towards the end of the 20 days. Hopefully Hewtop will find and address the reasons that caused such significant dropped in food quality soon.
