Makan Mate

I've order few times from them. Food was good and delicious. Portion was just sufficient will be good is have slight more. Will order from them again.

The food arrive on time. The meat portion is small for 45 pax. The food is nice except the fish which is the fried sambal fish fillet.

Food this time was not as good.
Dinner was requested to start at 630pm but after setup, we started at around 645pm.

Decent bento, but I think the portion of the veg could be more since it is meant to be a healthier choice bento .

Very friendly staffs to help setup and breakdown the buffet line.

The food received pretty good feedbacks from my family and friends.

A value for money healthier choice menu. We were surprised by the huge portion of salad, which was great as it was meant to be a healthier meal. It would be even better if there could be some variety to the drinks instead of merely ice water -e.g. less sweet homemade barley.

Just one side note: I quite liked the Baked Fish Fillet with Herbs & Garlic Sauce, but one of my colleagues shared feedback that part of the fish he took was not completely cooked (he could not easily tear apart the flesh). Thankfully no similar feedback from the guests.

I had ordered the healthier choice bento boxes for a school event for the first day, but the meat portions were small and dry, and the vegetables were undercooked. We were all very disappointed.I gave immediate feedback to Makan Mate and they offered me a buffet tray set up of the same dishes but with more gravy and acceded to my request of converting the brown rice to white(I added on an extra dish of chicken curry). The amounts for the following day were more than substantial and the students were very pleased with the quality of the food.
I am truly impressed by their attentiveness to my feedback and quick response even though the next buffet was less than 24 hrs away. Vigitte and Abigail were extremely accommodating and helpful. They left me with a very good impression of the company. I had prepared mentally to write off the company after the first day's fiasco, but the total turnaround on the 2nd day convinced me that this was a company that took service recovery seriously.
Delivery was also very punctual on all 3 days.
I shall certainly order from Makan Mate again because they have proven themselves to be reliable and sincere.
(I would advise a buffet meal rather than bento boxes as the food portions are more moist and quantities also slightly more).

Kids commented the fried rice is too bland. Fish fillet is nice. The full setup is nice, except for the chilled Cheng Tng area is drenched with condensation.

The bad part is there is no chili sauce provided!but overall experience was excellent!! Will definetly recommend people to try!

I like the curry chicken.
