Makan Mate

Generally is good.

Black glutinous rice was too waterish, would have been nice if its thicker. Serving for food was decent, just abit more will be perfect. $20 extra for delivery CBD area is kind of expensive, I see alot of cateters setting a flat rate for delivery to all places. Other food item and services are great.

Delivery was earlier than expected but still ok as it's still better than late. Delivery guy was also very polite. Overall food taste is good and the portions are generous, have a lot of leftover, especially the bee hoon and pineapple rice. My guests are happy to take some home :). The Cheng Tng has a lot of ingredients and taste just nice. Will definitely be using this caterer again.

The set up was simple and nice for my morning wedding reception. The setvice wtaff was kind enough to give me an advise for the best tome for set up after understanding my flow of program.

The only regrettable thing was that the honey lemon was a tat too bitter for my guest and most of them opted for my packet drinks which i have prepared seperately

Overall, guests enjoyed the food. However, the portion for rice and mee hoon were insufficient for 120 pax.

Layout is nice, food is good but service not up to expectation.

My event started at 6.30pm, but the caterer only came to set up at 6.45pm. Can be more on time. Food quality is not bad, with good dishes in the bee hoon, the chicken chop and the taufu Goreng. The Lime Juice is however too bitter, maybe someone forgot to put the honey in it.

I ordered quite last minute and makan mate was able to take in my order. I was very grateful. My guests compliment the food was very nice, a big relieve for me as this is my first time ordering from makan mate and i am uncertain of the food quality. The decoration/setup was good and the delivery man was very friendly. I wasnt around when they came. I handed over the cheque to my wife to pass it to them but my wife gave them the wrong cheque as there was 2 catering. They informed to my wife that the amount was incorrect and they waited for me to returned back. I saw them on my way back and offered to rewrite and bring the cheque down for them as i saw them having their lunch at void deck. But the delivery guy volunteered to follow me up back home even thou he was having his lunch halfway. A very good service and full of smiles. I will definitely order again from Makan Mate

Most of the guest like Braised Beancurd with Enoki Mushrooms & Conpoy a lot. On the overall, the food is nice. The delivery is a bit late so if you want to order, please give some buffer time.
