Makan Mate

The food was excellent and thank you to makan mate for accepting my large order in the last minute! Their team was also quick in responding and answering any queries. No regrets and will order again for future events. Thanks to foodline and makan mate team!

The food is average for this caterer. It is good but nothing outstanding. But the curry vegetables is good. There is a lot of ingredients in the Cheng tng.

We requested some fixed menu items to be changed to vegetarian options - soup was changed to mushroom soup and noodles was changed to aglio olio which was a good choice as the guests loved these 2 items!

The driver came early and he was very friendly and professional. Last time I ordered a buffet for 35 people (we were 30 people), there was not enough rice and dish, so I ordered 40 people this time, but the amount of food this time made me even more unhappy. There is no difference between 35 and 40 people. Here are the reasons for my displeasure:-
1. Nasi Briyani > They didn't inform me that they switched to other types of rice.
2. Mini Samosa > portion size is smaller than what I ordered (35 pax) from other supplier (Delizio Catering Pte Ltd) before (really angry)
3. Fortunately, I added pineapple fried rice. (changed from naan to rice)
4. I ordered extra dishes > Mutton Masala (feedback from workers is not as good as previous supplier)
5. All food portions are not suitable for 40 people.
6. All staff reported that the food from the previous supplier (Delizio Catering Pte Ltd) tasted better.

In general, the food is good, but the portion is too small for 30 people, even though we only have 30. Food is only enough for 25 people. Actually, we ordered nasi lemak, but it comes with yellow rice.

The food is good for this caterer. Especially the olive fried brown rice with nuts. It is cook very tasty and nice. My colleagues all say very nice. The rest of the food is reasonably good too.

Delivery on time. My event is on Sunday, they do not have office to confirm my order, but food still arrived on time.

The food was nice but sadly the portion for most of the dishes was not good enough for 25pax so only the bee hoon and rice was left over with no side dish to go along with. It would have been perfect if the portion was enough.

Food was decent for the price. Quantity was more than sufficient. Service from Chris, who set up the buffet, was excellent. Friendly and efficient. The admin, however, was not too responsive. Took 3 separate calls to get an invoice and never got back to me regarding chair rentals. Overall, I will still recommend them to others.

The food was of great quality, with the yusheng, the cod and the prawns being standout dishes. The freshness of the cod and the prawns was maintained and we were pleasantly surprised that the food was not overly salty and was balanced in flavour. A great meal.
