The Orange Lantern Gourmet Kitchen

Food is pretty yummy and interesting with our daily tingkat order. Their packaging container is excellent as once food its packed, no one else can open the container until the seal is broken, pretty ingeniously done to ensure no tampering of food after packing... delighted with the service. Thumbs up.

Plus points:
- Chris, the customer service exec, was highly communicative and helpful. He took feedback well and made immediate steps to improve delivery issues fro day 2 onwards. Thereafter, he made every effort to share info, provide status updates, and even checked in before the end of the trial. Overall, Orange Lantern has a star customer exec in Chris.
- Food-wise, nothing to complain about. 90% of the dishes were up to standard, not oily, not salty, and tasty. Portion sizes mostly reasonable, although there was just 1 day when the portions were under-sized, but this is down to the server/packer.
- Good variety of dishes available, and cooking style and seasoning options are not the usual. Makes for happy tastebuds.

1 minor negative point:
- Vegetable options can be limited, but still cooked reasonably well.

1 point for future consideration:
- The price point for the trial package is considerably lower than the regular 10-days and 20-days packages. This is likely a strategy to win customers for the long term. This could be a minor drawback for those looking to renew.

Overall, we are very impressed with Orange Lantern. A rare 5-star rating from us. Well done!

Their herbal chicken was very good! Flavourful and tender chicken

Service was good and prompt. Taste is pretty alright; 1 of the better ones so far. The packaging never even leaked once. But delivery is inconsistent, can b around 1hr difference between days.

Variety of cuisines is really great cause it can get boring pretty fast when you eat chinese cuisines all week long. With Orange Lantern you get rotation of Chinese, Western, Japanese, Malay, etc

The best dish is the egg. The soup is not so salty. The rrice is soft and the portion is just right. Delivery is always punctual and they followed our instructions of pressing the doorbell and leave it at the hook every time they arrive. Some tingkats will forgot sometimes but they never fail to forget. The coordinator, Chris is super friendly and polite and always send the menu in time so I will know what I’m having in advance. She even reminded me to settle my dinner if I don’t continue the tingkat service. Thank you very much for the excellent service!

Second time ordering from Orange Lantern and I like their variety of food. Food is well cooked and not salty, with more fresh ingredients used compared to other caterers. Will order from them again.

I love the variety of food served with a mixture of chinese, western, thai/vietnam cuisine. The food is very delicious but it is not child friendly due to some spicy dishes even though I have requested for non spicy.

Food is tasty, portion is fair for 2 pax, delivery is on time, prompt communication from caterer ... the only cons is that I don't like bone-in chicken & most of the meat menu during my 8 days trial has it
