✨ Highlights & Standout Dishes
The overall spread was neatly presented and sufficient for our group of 15. Three items stood out as clear favourites:

• Red Velvet Cream Cheese Cake: Perfectly balanced sweetness, moist sponge, and rich, ... More creamy frosting – every guest enjoyed this dessert.

• Mackerel Otah: Full of fragrant spices and fresh mackerel, with a firm yet tender texture; easily one of the most popular items on the table.

• Prawns in Chilli Crab Sauce: Plump, juicy prawns coated in a savoury, tangy sauce that had just the right amount of heat – the sauce was so good many guests asked for extra!

📝 Areas for Improvement
• Curry Chicken: We appreciated the generous portion size (delivered in 2 separate tubs) and the abundance of tender chicken pieces. However, the curry sauce was quite thin and lacked depth of flavour – adding more spices, coconut milk, or simmering it longer to thicken would make this dish excellent.

• Cereal Fish: This dish was the least popular; several guests found the fish too dry and the cereal coating lacking the usual buttery, fragrant taste.

• Fried Rice with Chicken Ham & Whitebait: The rice was tasty but noticeably dry; a little more oil or moisture would make it fluffier and more enjoyable.

📦 Service & Value
Delivery arrived punctually at 6:30 PM as scheduled, and the complimentary cutlery and hand wipes were convenient. Pricing is reasonable for the portion size, and we appreciated the healthier preparation notes (no MSG, no artificial colouring).

⭐ Final Verdict
Rating: 4/5
The standout dishes more than made up for the minor shortcomings, and we would happily order from Katong Catering again – with just a few tweaks to the sauce and rice, this would be a perfect buffet set!
