Bee Hoon (rice vermicelli) paired with fried fish, and it turned out to be a satisfying, comforting meal that delivered both crunch and flavor.

The beehoon was lightly seasoned — simple yet flavorful, with a nice hint of soy sauce and a subtle ... More wok hei aroma. It was well-cooked, not too dry .The portion was generous, making it a filling base for the dish.

The star, though, was the fried fish. Golden-brown and crisp on the outside, each piece had a light, airy batter that didn’t feel oily. The fish inside was fresh, tender, and flaky — clearly fried to order.

The curry itself had a rich, coconutty base with just enough heat to awaken the senses but not overwhelm the palate. It came with tau pok (fried beancurd), cabbage, and a few slices of fishcake, all of which held up surprisingly well in texture and ... More taste. The tau pok was particularly enjoyable, soaking up the curry like a sponge. While I would’ve liked a bit more protein or spice kick, the overall flavor was comforting and reminded me of hawker-style breakfasts. For a convenient packed option, it delivers on both taste and portion size.
