Empress Porridge

Good variety of cuisine. Tasty food. Appreciate the complimentary once a week kids meal. Food portion is however too much for 2 persons, which ended up much gone to waste. Pricing is overpriced.

Order for 6 people. with Soup usually had sufficient for 7. Suited the taste of my kids and elderly parents. Delivery was also reliable and the reusable thermal bag was a nice touch. Thank you

Food was delicious. Vegetables are soft. Meat is more tender compared to other caterers. The folks enjoyed it.

Soup is delicious and rich. The food are still very tasty and have maintained the standard unlike many caterers whose standards dropped after some time.

Food quality has deteriorated over the past few months and no longer justifies the premium pricing. Food is not so healthy now, is more salty and vegetables tend to be sour by dinner time.

I am regular for Empress Porridge. The dinner is special and good sometimes while it's quite normal for other days. The cost has increased due to inflation. I may order the food occasionally for a change.

There is a wide variety of mostly Asian cuisines as menu is rotated only every 3 months. Of late, we are disappointed to find that the dishes and soups have become more salty. As another reviewer also pointed out, we get deep fried food items/processed food almost daily. Given the premium pricing, we did not expect so much of such food as they are not very healthy and tend to be high on salt content.

All the dishes are great. Looking forward to the daily dinner variety. Only bad thing is, if I cancel dinner for a night, Empress Porridge does not extend the end date by another day. Instead, they do a refund.

Pro:
There are various cuisines and we looked forward to every day's delivery.
The food is in general delicious and similar to restaurant level.
Kid menus is provided for free once per week.
Customer service is responsive. We feedbacked on the portion and it was improved on the next day.

Con:
Delivery time to Beauty World is around 3:30-4pm though I asked for 6-7pm. The vegetables sometimes taste sour when we eat.
There is not much green leaves .
Portion of vegetables and meat/fish are still on the small side.
Almost everyday there is fried fishball/fish cake/Tofu. Fried food can be reduced and I'm not sure if fishball/fishcake has much nutritient and is processed food with a lot of additives.
It would be good if there's fat fish which I would expect at the price.

Food has become more salty in recent weeks. Having been with this caterer for the past few months, we do see a reduction in the food quality and portions served.
