Food not bad and customer service is good.

First time order from Jia Ba. Food quite okay and usually do not feel thirsty after eating(No msg). The Sambal Egg is nice and well cooked. As we know the green layer on an overcooked egg yolk is a harmless compound called ferrous sulfide, which forms when the egg is exposed to high heat for too long. So far their hard boiled egg is good.

Soups are very tasty as chef boiled with soybean for most of the soups. However I have sensitive stomach, so the soybean caused stomach bloated.

Customer service is very accommodating and agreed to change my order to 4 dishes instead of 3 dishes + 1 soup. Really appreciated.

First time trying Jiak Ba — overall pretty good! Delivery was on time, and the soup was surprisingly tasty. My kids really enjoyed it. The only downside was the green veggies… they had chemical taste sometimes, so I didn’t feel comfortable giving them to the kids.

Repeat order

This is a repeat order for the tingkat (home-delivered meals), and overall, I'm quite satisfied, though there are a couple of points for improvement.

The soup is consistently the best part of the meal. It's always flavourful, well-seasoned, and comforting—it really hits the spot. It's definitely the highlight and the reason I keep coming back.

However, I found the vegetables to be a bit tasteless this time around. They lacked seasoning and that fresh 'oomph' that makes them enjoyable. They felt more like an obligation than a pleasant addition to the meal. A little more attention to seasoning and perhaps a different cooking method would make a huge difference.

The main dishes are usually solid, but the weak link is definitely the veggies. Keep the fantastic soup, but please pump up the flavour in the greens!

Tasty soups & good food packaging

Food packaging very good, prevent spillage. All the soups are very tasty, although my elderly father said will be thirsty after drinking the soups but I don't feel it. The other dishes are so so, healthy, meat dishes more flavorful than veg dishes. Free herbal drinks on every Tues & Fri, tend to be diluted.
