We had the most disappointing CNY Buffet Lunch experience ever with Makan Mate.

We arranged the buffet lunch on 1 Feb at 12 pm at my sister's condo at Bedok Reservoir View. There was no sight of the caterer at 11.30 am. When my brother in-law ... More called to enquire, we were told that the delivery was delayed for another hour. At 1 pm, there was still no sight of the caterer. The caterer called at 1.10 pm to advise that the delivery is on the way.

The food only came at about 1.30 pm. By the time they set up the table and the food, it was about 1.45 pm. What's more, they left out the prawn dish and had to go back for it.

We waited another 30 mins for the food to warm as they were cold since they were prepared at 11.30 am (which I doubted). We only started eating at 2.15 pm as the old folks and children are hungry but the food was barely warm.

In my opinion, the caterer should not accept so many orders if they do not have the capacity to cope with the deliveries. This unpleasant experience had dampened our festive CNY mood and we did not really enjoy the food as we were all too tired and upset.
