There's Not a single prawn dish.
The Soup Conundrum - poor value component having almost half the package feature plain water boiled with root vegetables means using low-cost filler that holds lower culinary financial value to hit the 3Dishes+1Soup metric. Traditional Chinese double-boiled soup requires inexpensive bone/pork marrow bases simmered for hours; clear vegetable water costs pennies to produce. Hence don't expect premium grade nutrient dense soups daily, though premium price paid? Show less
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're sorry to hear that your experience did not meet your expectations.
We would like to clarify a few points regarding your comments.
Regarding the statement that "there's not a single ... Moreprawn dish," our monthly menu does include prawn and other seafood dishes as part of the regular rotation. For example, Tiger Prawn Roll was included during your subscription period, while dishes such as Cereal Seafood were featured in the published menu. As our menu rotates weekly, not every dish appears within every customer's subscription period.
Our monthly menu is published in advance and shared with customers before purchase so they can review the dishes and understand the menu rotation before deciding to subscribe.
We also respectfully disagree with the suggestion that our soups are simply "plain water boiled with root vegetables." During your subscription, we served a wide variety of traditional home-style soups, including Old Cucumber Pork Soup, Liu Wei Herbal Chicken Soup, Herbal Chicken Soup, Cordyceps Flower Chicken Soup, ABC Soup, Bak Kut Teh, Red Bean Lotus Root Soup, Pumpkin Mushroom Soup, White Fungus Pumpkin Wolfberry Soup. While not every soup is a double-boiled herbal broth, each is freshly prepared as part of a balanced home-cooked meal.
Our meals are planned to provide a balanced combination of protein, vegetables and soup, with different cooking styles and ingredients rotated throughout the month. We appreciate that everyone has different preferences, but we do not intentionally reduce protein in favour of lower-cost ingredients.
Lastly, we sincerely apologise that your meals did not arrive at your preferred serving temperature and that the delivery timing did not meet your expectations. We understand the importance of food quality and delivery reliability and will continue to improve our operations.
Thank you again for your feedback and for giving us the opportunity to clarify these points. Show less
Lunch delivery usually puntual ranging from 11.15am-12.45pm, barely warm. Dishes need refry, soup reheat.
Dishes mostly steamed/stir fried in thick oily starchy gravy, can be salty/oily. Each episode needs draining off the liquid, even vegetables. ... MoreThere are days where too much vegetables rather than meat protein...
The spinach (Amaranth) was never rinsed properly with each bite into sediment soil? Occasionally pieces of undissolved starch 'glaring' on top of meat slices..
Fish mostly Dory was soft/spongy even after refry/oven heating... difficult to stomach.
Initially thought with higher pricing one could expect 2 meat dishes without processed items, but a hopeless dream??? Show less

Dinner delivery is usually early afternoon, ranging from 1.45pm to 5.20pm. Meat portion at times inconsistent. Fish usually dory occasionally soft somewhat uncooked and stink. Taste wise salty especially soup being oily too, usually with poultry ... Moreskins floating at top. From the 3rd week, the dishes were very salty and the soups like 'salt' water. After complainng saltiness in dishes+ soup, following towards the last week simmered down. However, 'damage' is done, won't pursue renewal. Show less
A reliable consistent operator with deliveries punctual, though a bit early. It demonstrates empathy in skipping meals especially for emergency medical reasons.
Daily soup is salty, usually one cup water is added to dilute. Chicken skins are seen ... Morefloating on top the soup, and too many skins in chicken dishes to bulk up. Dory fish is staple, though somewhat soft appeared 'uncooked' and fishy occasionally. However, get to eat prawns weekly. Tastey processed food items form quite a percentage of the menu.
Overall it is budget friendly offering simple cooked homestyle meals for those prioritising price and healthiness over gourmet variety. Show less

Delivery time for dinner acceptable though early within 3.30-4.30pm, but mostly cold. Expected dinner quantity/quality substantial - twice/per week would hv 2 chicken wings dish, and repeated weekly. I'm elderly and not kid, neither a fan of chicken ... Morewing. 2nd last dish 'Chickadee Day' - from chicken wings to frozen chicken soup... Quality of ingredients could be better use less frozen.

Hi Ms Jackie, we are sorry to hear that we did not meet your expectations. We will work harder to improve on our menu, food preparation and delivery. We hope to be able to serve you again soon.
Generally, soup&vegetable dishes are tasty but can be salty especially soup. Usually 1 main meat dish, yet quantity barely suffice for 2 elderly adults. No frills simple dishes though not oily, but daily soup of same taste can be salty. Quantity portion is sufficient. Much processed ingredients and caipo are used. Dory fish repeatedly used stuffed in batter, can be soggy. Daily meal needs to buy additional dish from mixed rice stall to complement. Convenience turned out Inconvenience. Show less
