Never any Tingkat menu has gotten the majority of food variety that suits the entire household. Hewtop is an exception. To date their food and service have not disappointed us, plus good delivery timing which keeps our dinner in check.
This time, I ... More like to talk about the lemon fish slices, the fish slices melt in your mouth, carefully picked without any soft bones which is the reason we opt for no fish dishes with bones. Lemon add the sour taste that neutralizes the "fishy-ness" for many. Steam Egg with Crab cubes is another dish to be reckoned with. We all had steam eggs one time before, but adding the twist of crab cubes is brilliant. Mostly people add minced meat but this give the dish a new spin. Delicious.

Just when you think things are getting better, the pandemic woes strike again!
Luckily for us, we have been with Hewtop for our dinner food needs and it has not let us down.
Fish slices with fruit jam come as a unique dish in times where one ... More cannot go outdoor dining.
The citrus taste gives it a refreshing twist to this dish and came out well too.
We have mixed feeling about the Pork with plum sauce as meat is subjective to all. Nevertheless, Hewtop came up with this daring dish and hopes many will find it fine too!
In such times, we do need some great different dishes with special flavor and thanks to Hewtop.

The loosening of Covid-19 restrictions gave us some options to dine in. But we are so used to Hewtop, we felt their TingKat menu had served us well.
The variety of dishes on their TingKat menu, has made this a daily meal to eat make a point to eat ... More at home.
Dishes like the Fried Egg with Oyster oil. Many may think this is such an easy-to-whip-up dish, but there is something added that makes it so tasty. Steamed with no bubbles. Another great dish we kind of missed, and hope Hewtop will bring back more is the Cereal Sotong Balls.
Last but not least, though I must admit I am not a fan of small fish. But the fried Ikan Billis changed all that, cooked to perfection.
The whole family enjoy these dishes very much!

When Covid-19 restrictions kicked, and dine-out was no longer an option. Most people are looking to home-cooked food but to do so comes with lots of effort and trials to make everyday meals to taste good.
Hewtop has a variety of dishes from their ... More TingKat menu.
They reminded us of the type of family cooked dishes that are simple yet have great taste.
Dishes such as Curry Chicken and Celery Tau Kee, are good examples. Once a while, we like to have some spices in our food, and Hewtop did just that. The week menu has been carefully thought to provide us with different “aspects” of taste along with their presentations.
I personally enjoy the dishes and look forward to more variety in weeks to come.

With many returning to the office, it is a great feeling looking towards a great dinner. And Hewtop delivers just that. Their Pork ribs with white radish give that special punch to the usual port dish. it is not surprised the ribs remain tender, ... More even after a little reheat.
The other menu dish worth mentioning is the Furong egg with shrimps. From a looks perspective, it may seem very ordinary but the taste of shrimps blended with the specially mixed egg setup. Our personal favorite, which is best served with a bowl of warm rice. A perfect dish to complete a well-deserved dinner for the family.

Another good run for Hewtop. This time the review will talk about 2 dishes in the tingkat menu - 1) Pork slices with live and 2) Sesame oil chicken. Both dishes have their unique tastes. 1) The meat slices are finely cut to minimal thickness, not ... More too lean nor fatty. This is a good meat dish to eat with both noodles or rice. Lastly, we love to eat chicken cooked in many forms, and sesame oil added to chicken wings seems to be an ideal dish. To some, this dish may seem a little oily but the essence of the sesame is truly being brought out. Something to look forward after a long day.

Since the start of 2021, we have been looking forward to eating outside food amid the pandemic. But with the TingKat, we are fortunate that Hewtop has always kept their menu fresh for us. Especially we like the delicious sweet and sour fish dish. ... More Personally, the fish slices are cooked just right even after a few minutes in the microwave.
The Braised Tau Kee and Tau Pok is yet simple but great for days when you like it light and not oily. Best served with a bowl of warm rice. We like the texture of braised being to be softened the Tau Pok. Excellent dish nevertheless and tastes pretty close to home-cooked standard.

As we approach another new year, I must give compliments to Hewtop for the monthly food menu been providing. There are a few food dishes that are worthy to comment and here's our top 3.
1) Sweet & Sour Chicken - Surprising the taste is great even ... More it is reheated, a well-balanced flavor to savour! Truly using soft chicken meat is the key.
2)Mixed steam egg - This may be a simple dish, but to steam to perfection is not an easy task. It is very creative of Hewtop to do an add-on to the steam egg to make it one of our “all-time” favorite!
3) Salt & Pepper fish slices - Another clever use of spice to make fish slices so tasty…the pepper gives the dish a unique taste!

Another tinkgkat menu that’s worth commenting on from Hewtop.
I am personally have not tasted many Teochew cuisines, but the dish Teochew Style Fried Fish Fillet is worth mentioning.
Tender fillet fried to perfection. No fishy after-taste at ... More all.
Kids love it very much!
We do miss the Satay-flavour dishes…which provides a fusion of chinese-malay variety flash-back of what kampong food used to be.
Do bring us more of these, as this is truly missed!!

It is not a surprise to us that Hewtop has made its reputation and yet continues to impress with their tinkgkat menu.
Frankly, the dishes looks plain and simple, but I must highlight this particular dish - Champagne Pork Ribs.
I must give it to ... More them for having this, as not only it is original in its own form, the unique taste and texture makes the pork ribs irresistible from the start.
Another dish worth mentioning will the delicious steam egg.
The smooth texture and deep nostalgic taste plus, adding a “retro” presentation – It is serves as a great dish (tasty yet simple) after a hard day’s work!
Definitely thumbs up!!
