Ordered the Prosperity Feast Buffet ($19.80/pax with Yu Sheng) for our CNY event. Price is affordable, but the overall experience was average, and a lot of food was left over — which rarely happens at our gatherings.

Longevity noodles were too ... More soggy and mostly untouched. The Emperor Chicken had too much sauce, but no serving spoon was provided, only tongs, which made it inconvenient.

The baked fish used dory, and the texture was soft and mushy; some guests thought the sauce tasted more like sambal than chilli crab.

Cereal prawns and otah were in small portions and ran out quickly. Kailan was a bit tough and also had quite a lot left over.

Dessert was okay. Orange cordial tasted like diluted syrup water.

Suitable if you’re on a tight budget, but food quality, portions and setup can definitely improve.

The vanilla sponge inside was unexpectedly hard and dry — quite a letdown. Only the cheesecake ... More layer was enjoyable, smooth and creamy. Service was meh; the stall owner mistook me for a delivery rider even after I said I came to collect the cake. That said, he was agreeable when I asked for extra candles. The location is quite out of the way too, so not worth the journey unless you're already nearby or really craving pretty cakes.

Overall, the catering experience with YLS Catering was mixed, with some dishes meeting expectations while others fell short.

The "Fried H.K Noodle" was ordered but fried rice was provided instead. Unfortunately fried rice dry and hard This ... More situation was unexpected thus they give some discount. The "Sweet & Sour Sliced Fish" suffered from a soggy texture. The "Curry Pork" had a diluted curry sauce, and the pork was tough. The potatoes in the curry were also not soft. The "Smoke Duck with Black Pepper" was a little oily. The "Prawn with Crab Sauce" featured small prawns, and the sauce was sparse and dry. The "Prawn Sauce Chicken" provided wasn't drumettes or wings but parts of the chicken and the taste of prawn paste was weak.

On a more positive note, the "Deep Fried Ngo Hiang" was acceptable. The "Kailan with Mushrooms" was also a satisfactory dish. The "Yam Paste with Coconut Milk" provided a sweet ending to the meal.

In summary, while some dishes were palatable, the overall quality of the food from YLS Catering was inconsistent. Several dishes suffered from issues with texture, flavor, or preparation. Improvements are needed in the execution of several menu items to meet expectations.
